Privacy Policy

Right Drawing (rightdrawing.com) is a place to practice drawing. It is made to work with as little about you as it can. This page says what it keeps, why, and how to have it removed.
Without signing in
You can use everything but your own history without an account.
- The Find and Dots pages keep your drawing in your browser only. It never leaves your device.
- When you first open the Today page, your browser is given a random id in a cookie ("visitor", kept for a year). It tells your drawing from other visitors’ and says nothing of who you are.
- When you hand in a drawing in Today, its strokes (the lines and rough you drew, as coordinates) are stored on our server with that random id and the date.
What others see
The lines of a drawing handed in for the day’s figure are shown to other visitors who have drawn the same figure, laid over everyone else’s. They are shown without any name or id, and the rough strokes are not shown.
When you sign in with Google
Signing in keeps your Today drawings in an account, so you can see them from any device.
- We ask Google only for the identifier it knows your account by. We do not receive or store your name, email address or profile picture.
- We store that identifier, the time the account was made, and the drawings kept in it. Drawings you handed in before signing in, in the same browser, are moved into the account.
- A second cookie ("session", kept for up to 30 days) keeps you signed in.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.
- No selling or sharing of your data with anyone for their own use.
- Your IP address is used in memory to limit how many drawings one address can hand in, and is not stored by us.
Who handles the data for us
The site and its database run on Amazon Web Services, in the Seoul region. Amazon processes requests, including IP addresses, as needed to deliver the site. Google handles the sign-in itself, under its own privacy policy.
Keeping and deleting
- An account and every drawing in it are deleted when you choose My drawings, then Delete account. This cannot be undone.
- Drawings handed in without signing in are tied only to the random id in your cookie. We cannot tell whose they are, so we cannot find one person’s on request; they are kept as anonymous lines.
- Clearing your browser’s site data removes the drawings and choices kept in your browser, and both cookies.
- Backups of the database are deleted after 30 days.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 14 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
